Directory method
How we verify, and corrections
Candidate facts are checked against the City listing, dated, and shown equally. This page explains the method, offers a factual correction route, and records completed decisions.
How a fact gets here
-
We start with the City record
Candidate facts come from the City of Brampton's nominated candidates listing. Each profile uses the same City-listed name, office, ward area when applicable, filing date, and dated source receipt.
-
We capture, quote, and review
A reviewer captures the official page, keeps the exact source wording with the retrieval date, and checks any meaningful change before it is published. The site never updates candidate records on its own.
-
We check again as the list changes
The City list is reviewed weekly while nominations are open, again within two business days after nomination close, and once more before voting day. A current list cannot be built when its snapshot is more than eight days old.
-
Some information stays out
We do not republish campaign websites, social accounts, campaign email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, photos, statements, rankings, or scores. Keeping the directory narrow makes equal treatment possible and protects privacy.
Corrections log
Only completed, source-backed decisions appear here. Requests under review and personal information do not.
The log starts empty because no completed, source-backed correction has been made to this directory.
